Iowa 2004

In My Lifetime
01/20/2005

I killed the biggest buck of my life (actually many lifetimes) a few weeks ago during our late season. I hunted him for two years with my bow and could have legally taken him with a gun but chose to video tape him instead. Took him fair and square my way on 12/30/04 after a lot of time, effort, mental stress and lost sleep. I have three set camera pictures, a right shed from two years ago and over 45 minutes of video footage total. I named him Woody. He was a free ranging, wild deer taken 100% fair chase. Since I'm down to about a quarter tank now, I'm sure Woody will be the biggest buck of my life. I plan on entering him into the records books after 60 days. He deserves respect as a magnificent animal. For once all the pieces fell into place.
